H&H Dermadew Aloe Vera Lotion Review

I was prescribed “H&H Dermadew Aloe Vera Lotionduring pregnancy. When I was 7 months pregnant I started getting mild itching on stomach and a little bit on breast area. This is normal as the skin stretches more during late pregnancy months, assured my doctor.

It is always advisable to contact your healthcare provider/ doctor and ask what can be used. As I was prescribed “H&H Dermadew Aloe Vera Lotion” I started using this and it was a ‘Knight in shining Armor’ for me!

Lets’ discuss few questions before actually jumping on to the review of the product.

Q- Is it normal to have itching during pregnancy?

A-   Yes of course, your skin is stretching out and as it stretched it will itch. So, do not worry. However, also do not neglect the situation. Ask your doctor some medicines or lotions that can be applied. You can start using Bio oil from the beginning!

Q- How can I prevent itching during my pregnancy?

A-   I never take hot baths as it tends to make skin drier. I always use a moisturiser after every bath. Even before pregnancy I never forgot to apply a body lotion on regular basis.

So, my skin was prepared. Wearing comfortable cotton clothes is must during pregnancy as embellished work on clothing can make you feel uncomfortable. In addition to this, keep away your tight clothes and start wearing airy and clothes that are not tight at all.

Also, I really do not want to scare you, but very tight clothing is not good at all. Read this article on Dangers of wearing tight clothing

My Experience With H&H Dermadew Aloe Vera Lotion

H&H Dermadew Aloe Vera Lotion

So, as discussed earlier, I was 7 months pregnant and my skin started to itch. It was very mild but as I didn’t want to take any chance I informed my doctor, She prescribed “H&H Dermadew Aloe Vera Lotion”.

Okay, I like this product very much! This lotion comes in a plastic tube and it is white in colour. Lotion is white too and has very thin consistency. In addition to this, the lotion spreads easily on the area where it is applied. Moreover, this cools me down, the skin I mean, and eliminates any itchiness right away! On regular usage it did make the skin soft. It is very good for my sensitive skin and carries fragrance which is mild to a bit strong, but not very strong. However, it surely was strong for me as one tends to get strong sense of smell during pregnancy.

This contains AloeVera which is best for any skin condition. It also contains Dimethicone and Hydrogenated polydecane.

As I researched about both the above ingredients I found that Dimethicone is a silicon-based man-made synthetic molecule. Dimethicone can also be found in many cooking oils, processed foods/fast food items!

Dimethicone is used in the formulation of a wide range of cosmetics and personal care products including creams and bath soaps, and hair care products. In cosmetics it helps fill uneven texture and fine lines and that’s why it is widely used. Do not worry as the  FDA approved dimethicone for personal care products, and it is considered to be safe to use.

Hydrogenated polydecane is also a synthetic polymer and is used as fragrance ingredient. A study shows that it has excellent moisturizing properties, promote skin softness and smoothness!

I am discussing all of this as I want you to decide about a product by yourself and not because I used it. Specially if you are pregnant be extra cautious.

I have not applied H&H Dermadew Aloe Vera Lotion on my face so can’t comment how it works on face. I used it on my stomach, breast area, neck area and hands. It soothes the skin, makes it soft and takes care of the itchiness on skin due to dryness and stretchiness. It doesn’t cause any irritation.

    1. Hi Anoyara, firstly Congratulations. I used “Luciara Cream” advised by my doc when I was 5 months and since then I starting using this cream. It works! You can start using it and keep applying even after. Keep your tummy well moisturized and not dry. Even after a lot of care women do get stretch marks. However, it is something we are all proud of! Isn’t it! Good luck.
