I love shades of red, corals, neon’s etc.

Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, black, purple I love all of them. Though white is also an awesome color to wear but when it comes to nail paints I am a little doubtful. White nail polish was a big hit during the spring 2013 runways. Everybody right from the fashionista’s to celebs donned the pure shade.

Currently on my nails is the Colorbar’s “BLOODY MARY”

WHAT THE PRODUCT CLAIMS

SHADE: As I read the name of the shade I got excited as bloody Mary is one of my favorite and spooky Hollywood movie character. The bloody Mary should be a blood red color like a brick red or dark red, more maroon shade of red (like rubies and strawberries).

But the Colorbar nail lacquer “BLOODY MARY” as the name suggest is not blood red according to me!

It’s a dark pink coral red, which looks pretty too. To get the desired red color I applied two coats of it. (BELOW I HAVE CLICKED SWATCHES ON DIFFERENT BACKGROUND TO GIVE A BETTER IDEA HOW THE SHADE LOOKS LIKE!)

TEXTURE AND FINISH: I got a semi-sheer finish at one coat and after multiple coats got a nice shade. The texture of the nail paint is from not very light to a little thicker version. Still just one swipe didn’t give me a red shade. (It gave a bright coral). To get an opaque color I applied two coats of it. The finish doesn’t dry very fast so one needs to be very patient with it.

STAYING POWER: Once the shade is dried it stays on my nails for 3-4 days with a glossy finish. The glossy finish lessens and the enamel chips at the end of the nails after four days. On my toe nails it stays longer!!!

“INFO ON A SILVER PLATTER”- I FOUND THE COLORBAR NAIL LACQUER BLOODY MARY SHADE TO BE A BEAUTIFUL SHADE AVAILABLE IN THE MARKET. Its bright coral red, very glossy and stays for a long time! It’s a red which won’t be looking weird at all so; if you haven’t tried the range already please do check it out soon 
