Hey Girls,

How many times have we experienced the pain of buying a product which turns out to be a complete dud?????

For me, this has happened several timessssssss…..I usually throw the ones which I don’t like but this time I used my brains and decided to use them in some way or the other.

It’s like ….hey we don’t get along so let’s breakup……and then…. okay let’s be friends. So here listing all the duds I’ve broken up with!!!!!

1) Khadi Herbal Face and Body wash: Now this product could have been good because it contains neem and tulsi which is great for the skin and it is herbal product but I did not like it because of the unbearable fragrance it had and I don’t think anybody will be able to tolerate it, so it’s totally not recommended. It was really troubling my nose so I dumped it.

Price: INR 175

Alternate Use: I used it for cleaning my brushes and loofah! 😛

( Do try Khadi Sandalwood Age Control Cream , a good cost effective moisturizing cream )

2) Skin Cottage Moisturising Body Bath: Skin Cottage is a lesser known brand but since I liked their Kiwi Bath And Scrub Body bath , I picked their moisturizing body bath this time and thought that it would be really good because of the goat milk and green tea. But I totally hated it because it was runny like a lotion, the fragrance was not appealing and I didn’t feel clean and fresh after using this and did not observe any moisturizing benefits or any other added advantages so discontinued using this one.

Price: INR 349 (Approx)

Alternate Use: I used it as a foot soak for my home pedicures 🙂

3) Palmers Firming Butter: I love palmers their Cocoa Butter Formula Moisturising Body Oil (review here) is a hit! We all tend to have stretch marks or saggy skin after sudden weight gain followed by weight loss. With Shea butter, collagen, elastin and vitamin E, this product promises to give you a tighter skin but I did not see any of the mentioned effects.

Price: INR 520 ( approx)  for 315 ml

Alternate Use: I used it as a daily moisturizer after bath because it contains cocoa butter which is an excellent moisturizing agent thus resulting in soft and supple skin, it also smells divine.

4) Dove Elixir Dryness care with lavender and olive oil: These oils by Dove named as elixirs have created quite a buzz in the market so I bought it but honestly I felt that using this one was just a waste of time as it did not benefit my strands in any way. It’s just useless oil in a fancy glass bottle with a dried flower floating in it (lol). Talking about the packaging, it is equally useless because it has a pump dispenser and while taking out the oil, it always leaks… messing up the bottle. Also the glass bottle is heavy and fragile.

Price: INR 185 (approx) for 90 ml

Alternate Use : I used it as a frizz control. After a head bath I take two drops of this oil and run my fingers through my hair whenever my hair feel frizzy and dry.

5) Organix Smoothing Shea Butter Liquid Glass Serum: Bought this serum by Organix for my dry hair but this turned out to be very oily and sticky! You can’t be using it as a serum and moving out of the house…else you will come back with all the dust of the world stuck into your hair.

Price: INR 500 for 118ml

Alternate Use: I used it as an overnight treatment for my hair. Whenever my hair feel extra dry and needs to be pampered, I smooth this serum onto my tresses and leave them overnight and wash the next day. It really makes me love my hair after this session.
