Hey Girls,

When I read rave reviews  about the two Vichy products that Shivi tried ( Vichy’s “EAU THERMALE” Spa Water Review Here, Vichy Normaderm Night Anti-imperfection cream), I was impressed and wanted to try something myself, hence I grabbed 3 products from Vichy and this is the first one out of the lot. So here goes the review. Read on !!!!!!

My Experience With Vichy Purete Thermale Purifying Foaming Water

Vichy Purete Thermale is like a foaming water/ Foaming cleanser, that comes in a very cute pink plastic bottle with a pump dispenser. As the name suggests the consistency is exactly like water which, when dispensed converts into foam. The product is heavily scented which does not bother me much but people with sensitivity towards strong fragrances might feel uncomfortable. Just want to mention here that it doesn’t linger for long and fades within seconds. One pump is enough to clean the entire face thoroughly on a regular basis and if you intend to remove makeup then you might need two pumps of it.

Now coming to the results…this product confused me a lot, I have collected all my wayward thoughts and now I am all set with a firm opinion. I have been using this from the past 20 days and let me just tell you guys that I have normal well behaved skin which tends to get tad oily during the hot and humid months.

Vichy Purete Thermale cleanser is very gentle cleanser and after using it as per the instructions, it leaves my skin feeling fresh, smooth and moist. It does not dry out my skin, that is a plus but I don’t get that squeaky clean feel which I get with other cleansers ( my favorites  being Za True White Cleansing Foam review here ). I see that this cleanser removes makeup, oil and grime easily and effectively however after a few hours my skin starts getting oily and I feel the urge to wash my face again 🙁

Even though I did not get some great first impressions from this foaming water, I continued using this to see the brightening effect and it was a Biiiiggggg Zilch. Absolutely no radiance at all, in fact it made my face look a little dull because it loses its freshness after a few hours!

Turn On: VICHY PURETÉ THERMALE PURIFYING FOAMING WATER

1) Very mild

2) Good for dry sensitive skin

3) Paraben free

4) Cleans effectively

5) Non drying

Turn Off: VICHY PURETÉ THERMALE  PURIFYING FOAMING WATER

1) Its expensive

2) Does not work for normal or oily skin 🙁

3) No brightening at all

COSMOCHICS RATING:  3.5/5 (but that’s according to my skin type, for dry skin types it might actually work well 🙂 )

INFO ON A SILVER PLATTER“-  If you are buying Vichy Purete Thermale purifying water for the brightening effect as promised by VICHY then believe you me,  it is a dud.  But if you have dry, sensitive or troubled skin then this will be great as a cleanser because other cleansers might be harsh on your skin.

If you have a normal skin like me, I think it will prove to be a great cleanser for the drying winter months. Oily skin types ….stay away!!!!!
