I was contemplating the idea of using shower oils just to see how they are different from the usual body washes and when I saw one at the L’Occitane store I grabbed it immediately. Read on to know my experience.

DSCN3788What L’Occitane says: This shower oil transforms, when in contact with water, into a delicate foam that gently cleanses the body. Enriched with almond oil, it respects the hydrolipidic film and leaves a subtle and mouthwatering scent of fresh almond, for a delightful skin!

My Experience With Loccitane Amande Shower Oil

This shower oil comes in a small transparent bottle with a cute, silver flip open cap. All in All, the bottle looks cool and classy. It has a mild fragrance typically of almond oil mixed with a little bit of floral scents. It’s soothing but fades away within an hour’s time. Definitely not for those who have an affinity towards strong fragrances.

DSCN3790The color is light brown exactly like almond oil, infact the texture is also the same …it’s just slightly thick else it would have been impossible to decipher between oil and soap. It feels warm when rubbed between the palms which is a unique feature for me and I enjoy it. It does not lather much like other body washes as it has to be massaged on to the skin like oil and I was skeptical about the cleaning part but la la la….it worked girls!!! It did a good job at cleaning in fact to be really sure, I applied waterproof makeup on my wrist and it cleaned that too( yeah I did a little experiment, for all of you ) with this shower oil and voila!!!! It was super clean.

The formula is rich in almond oil, rosemary, grape vine, and nourishing lipids for silky smooth skin. It does not itch or make the skin dry; in fact it’s quite nourishing and moisturizing. Regular usage makes the skin soft and supple. I generally use my Palmer’s body oil after my shower REVIEWED HERE but with this shower oil I can even skip that routine as it’s really not required.

Now I can surely say that shower oils feel more luxurious than body washes because they pamper and clean the skin leaving it satin soft. Those with sensitive skin or dry skin will definitely love using these
