My Experience With The Colossal Liner:

The Colossal Liner comes in a very sleek pen packaging which is black in colour with a pop of yellow text over it. It has a long and thin felt tip which is the USP of this liner for me. I have used felt tip liners in the past but unfortunately the ones that I had were having a thick felt tip which wasn’t flexible….just like a sketch pen, in order to create a thin line or cat eye, i had to hold the liner in a vertical position over my lids so that I get a thin line which obviously wasn’t a comfortable thing to do but The Colossal Liner by Maybelline has nailed it in this department, it almost feels like a brush and makes it really easy to get even the thinnest line with absolute perfection.

The pigmentation of the colossal liner is great. It gives jet black, semi matte line in just one stroke. The texture is not runny and just perfect. It dries in seconds.I have use the colossal liner for tight lining the eyes as well and it does not sting or irritate my eyes.  (I wear contact lenses).

It stays for 9 hours without fading ( I haven’t tested it beyond that but I guess it will stay true to its 12 hour claim)however, it did not prove to be smudge free on my oily lids, it comes off easily on rubbing after say 2 hours. I won’t mind this because it does not fade at all and stays fresh…and why will I try to rub off my liner when I don’t want to  🙂

The colossal liner is not waterproof and comes off easily with water…well maybelline doesn’t even claim that it is…so no problem infact it a con for me at-least, because i don’t have to run for an eye makeup remover every time just to remove my liner.I like to include that step only when I have heavy eye makeup and not just to remove the regular liner or kajal.

    1. Gel liner is always a great option but not everybody is comfortable using them …so for newbies i feel that this one is a great deal with good quality

  1. I was thinking of buying this colossal liner for long and this is the review I was actually looking for, an honest one. Thanks dear. Actually I have small and puffy eyes and whenever I apply kajal on my side of my eyes, it makes them look even smaller. So will this liner be suitable for me?

    1. If you want to make your eyes appear bigger by using makeup then always line your lower lash line with a liner but don’t go near the inner corner. move a little outward in upward direction making the line appear like a lash.
Highlight your inner corner and waterline with a white kajal to make your eyes look wider.
Never line the lower and upper lash line together, do only one and preferably the lower one.

coming to the liner, i have mentioned that its not smudge proof, so if you have oily lids which are small and puffy then don’t buy this one coz it may transfer….but if you are on a hunt for a precision liner for making a thin line on your lower lash line…then go for it
      hope this helps!!!!
