Bright, bold,  vivid ultra-matte and soothing ultra-moisture join forces to create this super-rich, super-pampering, super-sexy lipstick. Pure drama. Pure glamour. It is enriched with the goodness of FIVE essential oils – Argan Oil,  Moringa Oil,  Jojoba Oil, Castor Oil & Vit E that restores moisture and improves texture of the skin. It also has sun protecting properties which nourishes and protect lips against UV rays.

I love ColorBar products, the quality that they offer totally justify their price tags and they always come up with a brilliant color range for all their products. When they came up with a limited edition Feel The Rain Collection, I had to pick up at least one of these beauties, I mean look at the gorgeous packaging, those tiny water droplets all over look so pretty, reminds me of the Alluring Aquatics collection from Mac.

My Experience With The ColorBar Feel The Rain Matte Lipstick

The packaging is totally worth appreciation, the water droplets over the metallic case look beautiful, they have color coded cases so it becomes easy to locate the shade if you have more than one in your collection.

The texture is confusing or rather I’d say that the name is misleading. these are not matte lipsticks, they are creamy and glide easily and render a satin finish on application. After some time when they lose the satiny sheen they look and feel like creamy mattes. The formula is moisturizing since it consists of 5 different types of oils, if you have dry lips, you will like this texture, it does not accentuate fine lines but it clings to any flaky bits on the lips if you have not exfoliated them. It does not feel heavy or smudges but does transfer. The pigmentation is good still it takes at least 2-3 passes to completely hide the natural color of the lips, Damp, the one I own is not a light shade but looks uneven on the first swipe maybe because of the formula. The lasting period is 3-4 hours after which this lipstick leaves a slight tint (more for the darker shades).

I picked up the shade Damp which can be described as rose-pink with slight hints of brown. This shade will suit fair skin but washes out medium or olive tones. I am NC 35 in MAC but I don’t like how this shade looked on me when used as an opaque color in its full glory, I am using this almost every day by just dabbing it to give a beautiful rosy pink tint to my lips.

“Info On A Silver Platter”

I love the packaging but the formula is not really what I was expecting. I don’t mind creamy mattes but this one is a bit more creamy for my liking. Still, if you have dry lips and tend to like cream based matte formulas, you will like this one from Feel the Rain Collection.
