As the topic suggests here I am talking about the ways to help you clean your wardrobe!

1) Giveaway your old clothes

We all are hoarders. We love our habit of accumulating things without even realizing that we are big freaks! We buy a T-shirt wear it at different occasions. Then when we are bored we make it a night wear, you know the one that we wear on bed for a good night’s sleep and then when the poor T- shirt breathes its last breath we make it a duster to clean our house furniture. My husband goes to the next level and makes the full use of the duster for washing and cleaning his car. He cannot find any other cloth in the house and when the poor, incapacitated T-shirt is dead and torn to pieces it’s still used as a backup!

It’s high time we get out of this attitude! Getting rid of your favorites can be painful… agreed! But there are a lot of good items in your wardrobe which you can giveaway to friends, relatives and if they are shy to take it or if you not comfortable doing so you can always opt for giving the stuff out to the needy! Do some charity dude!

So make a room in your wardrobe…get rid of what is not on your list anymore!

2) Organize Your Drawer

Name the places in your drawer for different items! Keep all shirts hanged; pair of socks and ties separately. Make a place for your underwear and lingerie too.

Things that are frequently used should be kept right in front, while the ones that you wear once in a while can always be folded and kept at the back.

3) Basket For Unironed Clothes

Yes if you can have a laundry basket for dirty clothes you can also have another for uniorned clothes. Not everything needs to be fit in your already full wardrobe! Right!

4) Multi hanger- Hang what needs to be hanged!

Okay it’s not the “hang till death” capital punishment I am talking about!

There are scarves, brassieres and other stuff that can be hanged. We do get such kind of items in the market and also on the online shopping websites! So it’s time to start taking control babes!

5) Winter Clothes VS Summer Clothes

All the coats, sweaters, warm leggings needs to be packed and kept in some shelf other than the main wardrobe. I am sure you don’t wear your warm clothes all year round!

Similarly the summer, spring outfits should be kept aside during winters unless if you really want to be in your shortest sleeveless top even in winters shivering like a leaf! If you are in a place like Bangalore where you do wear your summer and spring outfits all year round with occasional jacket wearing days then you need to be all the more happy! As you really don’t have to take care of the warm clothes section! If you still have loads of clothes refer to point 1  🙂

There are plastic bags available online/offline to set your clothes! These are vacuum bags and they require very little space!

Embrace the change in the seasons. Dress smartly by acting smarter!
