My Experience With The Lancome Juicy Shaker in Cherry Symphony
Packaging is something that attracts me always and this cute martini shaker barrel was impossible to resist. I have been using the Lancome Juicy Shaker for quite a long time now. It is a luxurious lip oil infused with colour pigments, defined as a BI-phased oil where the pigment settles down when not in use. You have to shake the bottle before using, and then apply the product using the squishy sponge that is attached to the cap. The sponge picks up and transfers the product very nicely. Each of the Juicy Shakers has a fruity fragrance pertaining to their names and mine obviously has a cherry kinda smell.
What I like about this lip oil is that it’s not sticky or tacky, in fact, it is really lightweight and moisturizes well. The color pigments do not show much on the lips hence I would suggest buying a dark shade because the lighter ones will not show up at all. The shade Cherry Symphony, looks like a deep red in the bottle but transforms as a very light reddish pink kinda shade on the lips.
As soon as you apply, The lips will appear glossy with a touch of color, after an hour or so, the shine will disappear leaving the lips soft with a pinkish tint. Clearly, this product has to be reapplied after every 2 hours, maybe three if you really try to extend but trust me it’s fun and you will get addicted to it. The more you reapply the more color it imparts to your lips so you can see the tint becoming more prominent by the end of the day.
On the initial usage, you might also see slight peeling of the skin on your lips making you think that the lip oil is worsening the condition, but be patient, I feel it’s the healing process. Just scrub the lips and see the difference in two days. This product has replaced my Lip balm because it moisturizes the lips and makes them plump and healthy.
“Info On a Silver Platter”
This one is a luxury purchase and I won’t say that it’s a must-have. It’s just a tinted lip oil in a very attractive packaging that does the job of a lip balm that you can get well within five hundred bucks. But if you plan to splurge and buy, I bet you will get obsessed with it. I think Clarins and Clinique also have products that work on similar lines so if you are planning to try lip oils, then these can be the options as well.
